So, then, you meant fly as in zipper? It would truly suck if a bird caught your zipper. I think I’d be heading home pretty fast too, to do or to die!

Oh brother! Something about baseball, but I don’t know anything about baseball. The fly must be a fly ball and the runner can’t go home, but I have no idea who the hell the birds are.

Um… Michelle… you’re nuts.

Yes, baseball.

Yes, caught a fly ball.

Yes birds = Orioles (or the Blue Jays).

The situation is that a sacrifice fly ball was hit to the outfield and a runner at 3rd base must run home faster than the ball can be thrown to the catcher (masked bird). Do or die, score a run or be thrown out. So THE answer is: A baserunner at 3rd base. Close enough.

Modest AWESOME sister gets the win.
Dee gets partial credit.
Michelle gets a strange look.

Thank GOD someone got it! I’m just happy to know the answer. I couldn’t think of any other meanings of flies besides bugs, fly fishing, and well, zippers.

Of course, I’m not really a sport-type folk.

Congrats to Your AWESOME sister (and Dee, who for not knowing much about baseball seemed to figure that out well), and I am cracking up at the conversation here. Seriously, I laughed out loud at “no idea who the hell the birds are,” Michelle’s entire zipper comment (and follow-up comment), and “Modest AWESOME sister”! HAHAHAHA!

(Birds could also refer to the St. Louis Cardinals.)
